Max Factor Lipfinity 2Step, Passionate

Price: Rs 525/-

Purchased from Inorbit Mall Malad

I am already drowning in a glut of lipsticks, lip balms, glosses and such like and the very last thing I needed what yet another lipstick. But I had a few minutes to spare, and I was hanging around aimlessly in lobby area where polite little girls were trying to convince me to try out the various shades on offer at the Max Factor counter they had set up in the area between Spencer’s and Cafe Coffee Day. I have my tried and tested shades that I stick to when I choose lipsticks which I don’t deviate much from and here I was convinced to pick up Lipfinity 2 step in Passionate 110 which is a kind of a brick red with slight golden flecks which aren’t in your face.

I slathered it on at 7.30 am in the car on the way to the school drop and office. The liquid went on smoothly enough, it looked fairly deep and even on the lip, the colour was a nice rich one. And as instructed by the little lady who sold it to me, I slathered on the top coat which is the accompanying tube in the package. It went on smoothly and made the lips feel slick and moisturised.

How did I find it? It stayed on past breakfast lunch and even tea time. It had faded a bit by evening. I did need to scrub with a make up remover to actually get it off, but my lips didn’t feel dry or flakey when I did. The colour had faded a bit, and by evening, there was a distinct line dividing the area which still had coverage and that which didn’t but that was after around 8 hours of wear.

Would I recommend it? Definitely. The bottom line seems to be, after a few days of trial and error of usage, use a thin layer. Make your lips are super smooth while applying and remove with make up remover.

Would I buy it again? Definitely. I’d like to try a lighter colour now to see how that lasts.

Rating: 4/5
